Pro Bono

Legal assistance for people who cannot meet the cost of representation.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Pro bono assistance means that the firm may waive its professional legal fees for an accepted matter. It does not necessarily cover court fees, government charges, registration costs, travel expenses, expert fees, translation costs or other third-party expenses.

Bhattarai & Associates cannot accept every application. Submission of this form does not guarantee legal advice or representation and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Please do not send original documents through the website.

If your matter involves immediate danger, arrest, detention, an approaching limitation period or an urgent court deadline, contact the relevant authority or qualified legal counsel immediately.

PRO BONO LEGAL SERVICES

Justice Should Be Accessible to Everyone

Bhattarai & Associates

Bhattarai & Associates is committed to improving access to justice by providing selected legal services without professional fees to individuals and communities facing genuine financial hardship.

Bhattarai & Associates

Legal protection should not depend solely on a person’s financial capacity.

OUR COMMITMENT TO ACCESS TO JUSTICE

Legal protection should not depend solely on a person’s financial capacity.

Through our Pro Bono Legal Services Programme, Bhattarai & Associates considers selected matters involving vulnerable individuals, underserved communities and issues of wider public importance. Depending on the circumstances of each case, our assistance may include an initial legal consultation, legal information, document review, legal drafting, referral or representation.

Every request is reviewed individually. Acceptance depends on eligibility, the legal merits of the matter, urgency, conflict-of-interest checks and the availability of our lawyers.

UPPORTING NEPAL’S EVOLVING LEGAL-AID ECOSYSTEM--

Nepal is strengthening access to justice through a more coordinated and technology-enabled legal-aid system.

The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has promoted the Integrated Legal Aid Reporting System (iLARS), a government platform designed to connect people seeking free legal assistance with legal-aid providers, including institutional legal-aid services, court-appointed lawyers, judicial committees and lawyers offering pro bono assistance.

Bhattarai & Associates welcomes this national effort to make legal assistance more accessible, organised, transparent and accountable. Our Pro Bono Programme is guided by the same broader principle: people facing genuine hardship should have a meaningful opportunity to understand and protect their legal rights.
